Highlighting recent tree farm developments for August 2023
Closed until Spring 2024
Our tree farm is closed for the fall 2023 transplanting season for land reclamation, tree servicing, inventory, and planning for a new tree nursery (Phase 2).
Our Tree Farm Policy
In preparation for the spring 2024 customer orders and transplanting season, we will be introducing our new policy about customer orders, spade services, and the spring transplanting window. Initially, we are moving in the direction of moving and narrowing the transplanting season from the fall to the spring to better meet our customers needs and interests. Our new policy will be available on our blog, newsletter, Facebook, and Twitter.
By narrowing the transplanting season, we aim to streamline our operations and ensure that we can provide the highest quality of service to our customers. This decision is based on extensive market research and feedback from our valued customers, who have expressed a preference for spring transplanting. Additionally, by accepting orders and deposits during the fall tree season, we are giving our customers ample time to plan ahead and secure their desired trees for the upcoming spring. Don't miss out on this opportunity to enhance your landscape with our trees and network of top-notch spade services. By opting for spring transplanting, we ensure that our customers receive trees that have acclimated to the soil and weather conditions, resulting in a higher survival rate. Moreover, our team of experts will be readily available to assist customers in selecting the perfect trees and providing guidance on proper care and maintenance.
Diversifying by Adding New Products
In addition to our exceptional tree selection and spade services, we are excited to announce that we are diversifying our offerings by adding new products to our inventory. This expansion allows us to cater to a wider range of customer preferences and provide even more options for enhancing your landscape. Stay tuned for updates on the exciting new additions coming soon!
Tree Nurseries
Our new 2023 tree nursery (phase 1) is planted with quality (1 year old) blue spruce seedlings (estimated heights at planting, 19"–24"). This expansion of our tree nursery will allow us to offer a wider selection of blue spruce seedlings to our customers. Additionally, we are implementing advanced cultivation techniques to ensure the health and vigour of these seedlings, resulting in stronger and more resilient trees for transplanting. By expanding our tree nursery, we aim to meet the growing demand for blue spruce seedlings and provide our customers with a greater variety to choose from. Moreover, our focus on implementing advanced cultivation techniques will not only enhance the health and vigour of these seedlings but also contribute to their adaptability in the face of changing environmental conditions. With careful monitoring and consideration of seasonal weather patterns and the potential impact of climate change, we anticipate having this new inventory available for sale and transplanting by spring 2025.
