What Makes My Heart Melt

Morning Turnout, Tuesday, November 2, 2021
I dressed after morning coffee and out to begin early morning chores before turnout from the LR Gang's box stalls (stables).
After unlocking the hay barn, opened a new square bale of 2020 Timothy-Alfalfa hay, measured flakes, then laid out (3) flakes hay per horse in stock feeders 1 and 2.
Next on my morning chore checklist, I checked for ice in stock water heaters (no ice, heaters working) and debris (none to filter). Paddocks 1 and 2 are ready to receive the LR Gang for their morning breakfast.
What makes my heart melt, actually many things, mainly walking into a warm and cozy horse barn and the LR Gang looking my way from their box stall gates (through the top bars that are left open for them), greeting and talking to me. Horse stall, water, hay bag and poop check, treats, and morning hugs follow its supplements followed with turnouts.
Knowing the LR Gang family had a good night is one of many that makes my heart melt.
